Dear SPC Community,
All along its life, from the initial idea to set up a photo contest for the Jeunesses Scientifiques de Belgique 50th Birthday, to its first edition as the MILSET Europe Science Photo Contest followed 2 years later by the MILSET Science Photo Contest, the challenge was to maintain the contest accessible for all focusing on its first aim to use Arts to discover and illustrate Science through the never-ending creative capacity of the youth.
The opportunities brought the contest from European to global, extended the date and age ranges, added categories, etc. and welcomed numerous exhibitions, publications, national selections and affiliated events around the world.
After 11 years at the coordination of the MILSET Science Photo Contest -aka SPC-, the time has come for us to hand over to a new team.
It has been for us an inspiring journey to design and coordinate this activity which welcomed 10.000 eye-catching pictures from over 100 countries and territories.
We would like to thank you, the participants, judges and all the people whom contributed to this great adventure; we will miss you.
Farewell,
Antoine & Denisa
SPC Coordination Team
